Having worked with Sue previously I already knew she could deliver significant change in support of business optimisation with utmost professionalism, compassion and integrity and, since setting up on her own in 2008, she has supported a number of organisations by helping them to define and manage changes to organisational structures, processes and capability requirements to in turn help them fulfil their strategies and goals.

Sue is branching out to help medium-sized organisations fulfil their potential through their people and processes and I would not hesitate to recommend her as a commercial, highly adaptable, very personable, 'no fuss or HR flannel' professional and a true expert in her field. She really does add value and it's well worth having an initial, no-obligation consultation with her. For further details, take a look at her website http://www.beaconsultancy.com/ Initially daunted by the prospect, we took a deep breath, and entered the room which housed about 30 other similarly daunted people.

Apart from the few that just tried to sell us their product or service, and indeed cutting their pitch short if we didn't prove a strong enough sales prospect for them, we met some really great people with some fantastic complimentary businesses which we feel we could add to our affiliate partner list.

So we're in the process of meeting them again to ensure that they share our values. I also conducted some research to see if there were any service-based consultancies that challenged the sales-based, key-word-led approach. I asked colleagues, hiring manager and friends to recommend recruitment consultancies both as a candidate and as a hiring manager. Whilst there are a few good ones out there (and you know who you are), I was shocked that there were only a few agencies that people would think to highly recommend. Likewise, I was offered low-cost deals by a variety of web recruiters, however, I didn't feel that I (or candidates) would be getting the personalised service that was offered by a reputable recruitment consultancy and could never be sure that our employer brand or candidate experience was positively conveyed - albeit I'm sure that there will be a counter -argument to this and it does of course depend on what matters to you most, but for me and many of my peers, I want a good quality service that advocates our brand and a positive candidate experience - all at a reasonable price.

<span style="font-family: "Century Gothic","sans-serif"; So, I started to look for a partner who shared my own service-based ethic and, after 3 years of hunting, I finally found her! We've had a great start to the year and I am proud of the client and candidate endoresements we've already received.
